FOREST CITY, NORTH CAROLINA- Betsy Norma Fields, 76, died Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Hospice of Carolina Foothills in Forest City, North Carolina. She was born in Dante, Virginia; daughter of the late James O’Dell and Lena Boris Breeding. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. “Smokey” Fields, Jr. She is survived by her two sons, Dennis Fields and wife, Lisa of Forest City, North Carolina and James Matthew Fields and wife, Brenda of Castlewood, Virginia; five grandchildren, Tabitha Mayo and wife, Amanda, Daniel Mayo and wife, Lisa, Josh Fields and wife, Shawnah, Chris Fields, and Amanda Fields Phillips and husband, Zach; seven great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Shane Mayo, Kaleb Mayo, Emma Mayo, Madi Fields, Kaylee Fields, Isabella Phillips, and one on the way, Elijah James Phillips; three brothers, Johnny Breeding of St. Paul, Virginia, Ricky Breeding of St. Paul, Virginia, and George Breeding of Castlewood, Virginia; one sister, Shirley Hess of Lebanon, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, a Graveside Service and Interment for Betsy Norma Fields will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2020, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Ralph Sproles officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2020, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia.
