CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Deborah Darlene Perrigan Brooks, 60, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the home of her brother, Robbie. She was born in Dante, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adlai Vernon Brooks; her paternal grandparents, Clyde Thomas and Pearl Perrigan; and her maternal grandparents, Emmitt Clyde and Gracie Sluss. Deb loved to read, crochet, and spend time with her grandson, Devin. She is survived by her fiancé, Ray Knisley of Salem, Virginia; one son, Zachary Brooks and fiancée, Shania Robinson of Appomattox, Virginia; one grandson, Deven Adlai Brooks of Appomattox, Virginia; her parents, Clyde B. and Eula Perrigan of Trammel, Virginia; three sisters, Diane Perrigan of Trammel, Virginia; Donna Perrigan and special friend, Thomas Williams of Castlewood, Virginia, and Jennifer Taylor and husband, Tony of Dante, Virginia; one brother, Robbie Perrigan and wife, Heidi of Castlewood, Virginia; thirteen nieces and nephews; and twelve great-nieces and nephews. Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Deborah Darlene Perrigan Brooks will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Pastor Mike Yates and Rev. Terri Ann Funk officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Brandon Marshall, Dustin Perrigan, Ethan Taylor, Tyler Perrigan, Jett Wilson, Michael Wayne Early, and Steven Early. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clyde B. Perrigan, Robbie Perrigan, Devan Adlai Brooks, Ronald Bland, great-nephews: Clyde and Harlan Perrigan, Parker Taylor, Lane Fields, Deklan Thompson, Ruben Rasnick IV, Nathan and Tyler Donley, great-nieces: Scarlett and Arya Donley, Kylie Taylor, and Kalli Jo Rasnick. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021, in Castlewood Funeral Home in Castlewood, Virginia. A radio broadcast of the service will be available on the Castlewood Funeral Home parking lot on radio station 88.9 FM during the service for those who would like to remain in your vehicle.
