DANTE, VIRGINIA – Dorothy Faye Wright, 74, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at her home. She was born in Trammel, Virginia; daughter of the late Jonas and Ethel Hughes Jessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Douglas Wright; one daughter, Leshia Hall; five brothers, Jimmy, Dee, Billy, Wayne, and Richard Jessee; five sisters, Thelma McMillian, Peggy Plummer, Bessie Grizzle, Joann Wright, and Bonetta Jessee; and one grandson, Randy Hall. Dorothy was of the Baptist Faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren any time she could. She loved being outdoors, fishing, and raising a garden. She also enjoyed her flowers and traveling. She is survived by her daughter, Lina Faye Hubbard and husband, Myron of Friendsville, Tennessee; three sons, Doug Wright and wife, Nyrsa of Haines City, Florida, Tim Wright and girlfriend “Reece” of Abingdon, Virginia, and Kerry Wright of Dante, Virginia; three grandchildren, Josh Hall and wife, Brittany, Waylon Mullins and wife, Danielle, and Ricky Hall; four great-grandchildren, Ella Annette Hall, Zachary Gunner Griffin, Sebastian Alexander Mullins, and Lorelei Laine Mullins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Dorothy Faye Wright will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Roger Phillips officiating. Committal Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2022, in Wright Cemetery on Counts Ridge, Dante, Virginia. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:15 a.m., Friday. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
