Eva Sue Blevins

June 5, 1949 - March 15, 2022

CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Eva Sue Blevins, 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tennessee. She was born in Dallas, Texas; daughter of the late Tillman Odell and Mary Alice Young Gann. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Tillman Gann Jr. and Harry Lee Gann. Eva was a member of Clinch Valley Chapter #152 O.E.S. in St. Paul, Virginia. She also was a member of Russell County Fair Association and the Shrine Hillbilly Clan #1 Outhouse #2 from Pikeville, Kentucky. She loved to cook and was an all-around caregiver. She is survived by her husband, John H. Blevins; four daughters, Carol Cornelius and husband, Paul of Ft. Myers, Florida, Brenda Connors and husband, John of Warren, Michigan, Kimberley Dandy and husband, Juan of Warren, Michigan, and Tammie Gordon and husband, Jerry of Castlewood, Virginia; one son, John H. Blevins Jr. and wife, Tina of Winsor Ontario, Canada; one sister, Patsy Ann Corbett and husband, Jerry of Michigan; two brothers, James Gann of Warren, Michigan and Tom Gann and wife, Pam of Sterling Heights, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Joshua Connors, Teiara Dandy, Aaron Gordon, Ryan Blevins, Courtney Blevins, Alexis Connors, and Autumn Blevins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Eva Sue Blevins will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2022, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Harold Shortridge officiating. Committal Services and Interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Ryan Blevins, Stacy Hamilton, Chucky Shortridge, Matthew Blevins, Christopher Blevins, and Aaron Gordon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Cornelius, John Connors, Juan Phillips, Jerry Gordon, and Steve Dotson. Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2022, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
