Fannie Marie Kiser

April 7, 1957 - March 6, 2021

DANTE, VIRGINIA – Fannie Marie Kiser, 63, died on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at her home. She was born in Wise County, Virginia; daughter of the late John Winford and Georgie Jane Robins Fields. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Fields and Ike Fields; and one son-in-law, Tracey Fletcher. Fannie was a member of McCowan’s Chapel Church in Dante, Virginia where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Custodian. She enjoyed going to church and teaching Sunday School and loved to watch the children she taught over the years grow. Fannie also loved spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her husband, Victor Kiser; one son, William Ray Kiser and wife, Tracey of Dante, Virginia; one daughter, Thelma Marie Fletcher of Dante, Virginia; three grandchildren, Alec Fletcher, Isabella Fletcher, and Elizabeth Fletcher; six brothers, John Fields of Norton, Virginia, Lonnie Fields and wife, Joann of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Fred Fields and wife, Barbara of Castlewood, Virginia, Shon Fields and wife, Carla of Wise, Virginia, Daniel Fields of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Joe Fields and wife, Darlene of Coeburn, Virginia; two sisters, Bonnie Collins of Columbus, Ohio and Dawn Sanders and husband, Samuel of Coeburn, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia on face-covering requirements and social distancing, Funeral Services for Fannie Marie Kiser will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021, in McCowan's Chapel Church in Dante, Virginia with Pastor Larry Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Phillips Cemetery in Dante, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Kiser and Alec Kiser. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in McCowan Chapel Church in Dante, Virginia.
