FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA – Joan Buck Lunsford, 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was born in Washington D.C.; daughter of the late David Dickenson “Dick” and Dorothy Ralsten Buck. She was preceded in death by one cousin, Buck Kiser. She is survived by her husband, Louis H. Lunsford; one brother, David Buck and wife, Carlene of Abingdon, Virginia; one niece, Whitney Canada and husband, Brian of Abingdon, Virginia; one great-niece, Josie Canada; one great-nephew, Sean Canada; one cousin, JoEllen Harding; and special friend, Connie Sharrett. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 10, 2022, at the Chapel of Love Mausoleum – Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia with Pastor Nick Viers officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Buck, Sean Canada, and Brian Canada. Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Service to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
