CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Margaret Jean Griffith Burton, 56, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at her home. She was born in Lebanon, Virginia; daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Virginia Bolton Griffith. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Blaine Griffith and Robert Griffith, Jr.; and two sisters, Ann Gray and Kathy Parsell. Jeannie loved her family, her pets, and animals. She is survived by her son, Aaron Burton of Castlewood, Virginia; three sisters, Beth Marshall and husband, Grant of Castlewood, Virginia, Sue Tester and husband, Ken of Elizabethton, Tennessee, and Caroline Griffith of Castlewood, Virginia; cousin, Lynn Bolton of Castlewood, Virginia; three nephews, Grant Marshall, Jr., Chris Parsell, and Carter Parsell; four nieces, Jamie Gray, Chloe Yates, Celia Jessee, and Sarah McNabb; brother-in-law, Chuck Parsell; five great-nieces, Bella Gray, Rylee Tester, and Emily, Ellie, and Everly McNabb; and special great-nephew, Silas Yates. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2022, at the family home. Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the gathering to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
