DANTE, VIRGINIA - Worley G. Fields, 86, died Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Russell County Hospital in Lebanon, Virginia. He was born in Dante, Virginia; son of the late O.C. “Cos” and Mary Ruth Dye Fields. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Addington Fields, one sister, Sadie Skeens; four brothers, Jack Fields, Harold Fields, Ora "Bus" Fields, and Billy Joe Fields. He is survived by his two daughters, Teresa Kestner and husband, Max and Connie Robinson and husband, Bill, both of Castlewood, Virginia; one granddaughter, who was the light of his life, Jada Kestner; two brothers, Paul Fields and wife, Phyllis and Donald Fields and wife, Delores, both of Castlewood, Virginia; four sisters, Hester Bradley of Castlewood, Virginia, Nora Lee Bise and husband, T.J. "Pooch" of Castlewood, Virginia, Kathleen Bellamy and husband, Lowell of Castlewood, Virginia, and Linda Abbott and husband, Eddie of Bristol, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews. Following the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the Governor of Virginia of no more than 50% of capacity gathering and the face-covering requirements, Funeral Services for Worley G. Fields will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel in Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Harry Layell officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Max Kestner, Bill Robinson, Marty Fields, Jonathan Fields, Brandon Hale, and Gary Wright. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony McMillan, Mack McMillan, Eddie Abbott, Lowell Bellamy, T.J. "Pooch" Bise. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2020, in Castlewood Funeral Home in Castlewood, Virginia following the same restrictions. The family would like to thank Carol Boardwine, FNP, Home Nursing Company, and the doctors and nurses at Russell County Hospital for their care and support. A Radio Broadcast of the Funeral Service will be available on Castlewood Funeral Home parking lot on 88.9 FM while being able to stay in your vehicle.
